We're often asked, "Why doesn't KELTEC make an AR-15?" Well, here's your answer. The SU16E gives you a gas piston operated, 5.56 rifle with adjustable sights, a threaded 16" barrel, pistol grip, our proprietary compact forend and 6-position stock assembly right out of the box. All of that comes in at under 5lbs unloaded!
The SU16 series is designed, engineered and crafted to be the perfect everyday Sport Utility rifle. Differing primarily in barrel length and stock configuration, these gas piston operated, semi-auto rifles accept standard AR-15 magazines, with some models that store two spare, proprietary magazines in the stock.
Configurable
There are a few SU16 models and configurations to choose from to suit your needs, but all of them feature iron sights and an integrated Picatinny-style rail on top of the receiver to mount your favorite optic.

Reliable
